  1. I found this book to be very informative.I have the PH Miracle For Weight Loss and found out about this after I bought that one.I am both obese and a type 2 diabetic. There is alot of information that is quite the contrary to the allopathic way of treating diabetes. What Dr Young says makes sense.I have been drinking alkaline water and mindful of my diet and my blood sugars are testament to that. I found the alkaline diet too severe for me but I have incorporated healthy alternatives and I feel it making a difference.Dr Young presents the material with great style and humor in way that you “get it”.

“The pH Miracle for Diabetes” provides an excellent, in depth lifestyle program to not only shift one’s inner pH from acidity to alkalinity, but to also improve and reverse blood sugar conditions, such as insulin resistance, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, type 1 diabetes, and type 2 diabetes. Included in the book is a detailed food plan, supplements one should take to complement the pH diet, an exercise plan, tons of alkaline recipes, as well as much medical/scientific detail and explanation. Young writes in a style that’s easy to understand, informative, and thorough. I suggest this book to anyone who wants to reclaim their health and improve blood sugar conditions by switching to a healthier, more alkaline lifestyle.

My grandfather developed dietary diabetes in the 1940s. He lived until the late 1970s and managed his diabetes with diet very well: he never lost any sight, no amputations, and he had full use of his body. So the concept that all human disease is influenced by lifestyle choices is not new, and has been promulgated by alternative doctors for decades. What is new is when a scientist discovers the wheel when others, including Dr. T. A. Baroody (“Alkalize or Die”), had previously written about pH balance as a way to health.

I wonder if the pH Miracle Books are written as science, or to help with marketing of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) products? Where is John Stossel to investigate when you need him? If fat is an acid problem, why doesn’t vinegar make you fat? Perhaps because there are no calories in vinegar. The products can only be sold by word of mouth and in your home on a table or shelf, sort of a shrine. Why? Why can’t you sell it on eBay or in your own health food store? Maybe because that would mean price competition, and at $80 a pound for some powdered veggies you can understand they don’t want $10 a pound competition.

Beware when manipulative organizations, backed by a scholarly Guru with scholarly credentials, ask you to open your wallet for products or tests designed to confirm the need for the products. They’re trying to help you while helping themselves to your wallet. I guess it’s something that most doctors do since they often own the X-ray, MRI, or Testing Lab. Would you like to go for a ride? Anyone considering an MLM Opportunity should investigate the MLM industry online … there are plenty of watchdog sites to explain the aggressive marketing tactics used by some MLM charlatans. Books such as “Combating Cult Mind Control” by Hassan, or “Dangerous Persuaders” by Samways, or Butterfield’s book on Amway … With any MLM, you should first ask HOW will I recover my initial sales kit investment? WHO will buy these products at these prices? MLM organizations are almost always set up for and by the people at the top of the pyramid who milk the profits. And if you encounter any alternative marketing strategies, like some warmly seductive member of the opposite sex who comes on to you in a major but false way – but won’t give you the time of day when you’re not BUYING something – report it to the company, the MLM marketing association, and any appropriate authorities. The public is not required to tolerate this in sales, marketing, or employment situations. Complaining is the only way to put manipulative people where they belong. If you don’t, you too could end up feeling USED and PLAYED by the GREEDY motivations of manipulative people. And there is nothing moral about pulling people’s heartstrings to line your own pockets. Don’t let someone in a position of professional trust, when you are under their care, take advantage of a business relationship to play with your heart or your head. It is immoral and it should be stopped. I’m certain that Dr. Young and his fine company would never tolerate such behavior because of superior moral leadership. Beware, however, unscrupulous individuals within certain professions.

Finally a word about weight loss. I’ve been alkallizing for 2 years, and gained 5-8 pounds because I kept eating my regular diet. So it’s still about calories and metabolic rate, in my opinion. A nurse advised drinking ice water during the winter for weight loss to boost the metabolic rate and burn calories. In America we eat heavily all year round. In the summer we store fat when the heat reduces our metabolic rate, and in the winter we’re supposed to burn the stored fat to stay warm, but instead we keep eating and live in warm homes. Then we complain we’re fat.

And by the way, if you have an illness don’t reject mainstream treatments out of hand. I alkalized with a close relative, the results were poor, though I’m not sure if they would have been any better with mainstream treatment. Each case is different. It’s your health, get what YOU want, not what is PUSHED on you by MLMers!
